PENTSOS Health Service Unit

The Health Services Unit shall perform the following functions among others:

  1. Coordinate the training and seminars on health-related issues
  2. In collaboration with the Finnish institute for health and welfare (THL), PENTSOS will seek to promote healthy lifestyles among the community members
  3. Act as the liaison between the National Institute of health and welfare under the Finnish ministry of Social Affairs and health, to facilitate exchange of medical personnel for training and assistance in The Church of Pentecost Ghana Hospitals and other hospitals in Africa
  4. Provide technical support to health care institutions. This support shall be Logistic, and Capacity Development in abroad;
  5. Facilitate or Sponsor Trainee Medical Students exchange programme between Finland Universities and those in abroad
  6. Where necessary assist acute medical conditions of the poor and needy people in Africa

PENTSOS Disaster Prevention & Relief Unit

The Disaster and Relief Unit of PENTSOS shall perform the following functions among others;

  1. In collaboration with the Fire Service run seminars and other meetings on prevention of house fires and potential dangers in the house, workplace and in the community
  2. Again, in collaboration with other agencies PENTSOS will Coordinate seminar on alcohol, drug and other substance abuse in our churches, community within Finland.
  3. Initiate and implement all social and economic development projects of PENTSOS;
  4. Coordinate the implementation of all development projects within PENTSOS;
  5. Monitor and supervise the implementation of development projects;
  6. Facilitate and manage partnerships with civil society organizations, donors and funders.
  7. Collecting, sorting, packaging and delivery of new and used items to the needy and the poor in Africa

PENTSOS Education Support Unit

The Education Unit (PEU) of PENTSOS shall perform the following functions:

  1. Coordinate with the Finnish national agency for education (EDUFI) to develop education and training of migrants in Finland to fully integrate.
  2. Collaborate with the Finnish national agency for education and other training bodies to adopt best methods or practices for integrating international students in Finland
  3. Supervise and support all our cultural and language Training Centers and Schools to improve on their delivery of education and training services;
  4. Develop strategies to enhance enrolment, participation, retention, transition and learning outcomes.
  5. Collaborate with partners to research and disseminate findings and recommendations
  6. Collaborate with Development Partners and NGOs to promote quality education in PENTSOS sponsored institutions;
  7. Oversee the development and empowerment of girls through the introduction of appropriate interventions in PENTSOS training centers in Finland and COP schools in Africa;
  8. Develop strategies to advice parents on child protection in the community, school and training, training centers;
  9. Undertake periodic inspection of all PENTSOS sponsored facilities in collaboration relevant government agencies;
  10. Facilitate the review training programs on offer.

PENTSOS Economic & Financial Advice Unit

The principal activities or objectives of the APEX are to represent, protect, promote, and ensure the integrity of the church and community:

  1. Develop project proposals and fundraising strategies for effective fundraising for project implementation;
  2. Providing advisory services to Member Societies;
  3. Capacity building for members and non-members of the church through practical training and seminars such as the Link-Project and job fairs
  4. Supporting the development and advocates for enabling environment, and defend the interests of Member communities;
  5. Promoting co-operation and mutual support among Societies for the common good of Member Societies;
  6. Playing an advisory role over Member Societies through
